"The ransomed of the LORD shall return"

Text: Isaiah 35:10

THE RETURN OF THE RANSOMED

This prophecy is uplifting to the faithful who believe in God’s deliverance. The total fulfilment of this prophecy is yet future.

“A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
Isaiah 35:8-10

1. “The Highway of Holiness”

a) God will plan a great spiritual Highway.

b) It will be called “The Highway of holiness”.

2. Features of this spiritual Highway.

a) The Unclean cannot utilise it.

b) Whoever is called by the Lord can walk there safely.

c) Even the “fool” cannot go astray when walking on this Highway.

3. Totally Safe Highway.

a) No lions or any predator.

b) No ravenous beast of any kind would threaten those who walk there.

c) The Redeemed would walk on this Highway safely.

4. The ransomed of the LORD.

a) They will return to Zion.

b) They will be singing to the LORD as they walk there.

5. Features of Joy.

a) There will be everlasting joy on their heads.

b) There will be wonderful gladness.

c) Sorrowing and sighing would be totally absent.
