GOING BEYOND MERE ACCEPTANCE
How wonderful to receive the Law of God;
We need to go beyond accepting the LORD.
The example of the Psalmist is challenging;
In the LORD’s word, he found himself delighting.
He was more than happy to share knowledge;
To speak of the Judgments of God was a privilege.
The Psalmist decided that he would meditate;
On the ways of the LORD, he would contemplate.
The Psalmist found himself growing in trust;
The Word of God brought great happiness.
If he were to rejoice if he obtained wealth;
He must also be happy if he has spiritual health.
Thank God for the example of the Psalmist;
In the knowledge of God, he sought to increase.
Through prayer and persistence, he succeeded;
May all our efforts to grow well be rewarded!
