A GREAT MULTITUDE

THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD JESUS

We are struck by the fact that all the Gospels noted an important feature. Great multitudes followed the Lord Jesus Christ!

7 But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea 

8 and Jerusalem and Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and those from Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard how many things He was doing, came to Him.

 9 So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush Him. 

10 For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him.     Mark 3:7-10

a) Galilee

b) Jerusalem

c) Idumea

d) Beyond the Jordan

e) Tyre and Sidon

  1. Many came 

a) To hear

b) To be healed

THE CHALLENGE TODAY

We are faced with a similar challenge. How do we reach the multitudes of people in the world? Our regions are India, Australia, Myanmar, Kenya and our own nation, Singapore!

We need the same sense of purpose the Lord had in His heart and mind. We need the filling of the Holy Spirit too! Let us be deeply concerned for “the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”
