"Do not be furious, O LORD"

Text: Isaiah 64:9

PLEADING WITH GOD

Isaiah knew and understood the wrath of the LORD. The nation had suffered terribly because of its pursuit of sin. There was nothing that Isaiah could appeal to except the mercy and grace of God as Father.

“But now, O LORD,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
Do not be furious, O LORD,
Nor remember iniquity forever;
Indeed, please look—we all are Your people!”
