A GLORIOUS PROMISE OF GOD

There are many precious promises given by God. This is one of the most precious of promises. This is a promise worth memorizing.

3 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob,
And all the remnant of the house of Israel,
Who have been upheld by Me from birth,
Who have been carried from the womb:

4 Even to your old age, I am He,
And even to gray hairs I will carry you!
I have made, and I will bear;
Even I will carry, and will deliver you.     Isaiah 46:3-4

  1. God’s relationship with Israel

a) It was upheld by the LORD from its birth as a nation

b) It has been carried by God from the womb

  1. God’s declared promise

a) He will carry the nation even if it becomes old

b) The nation was described as an aged person with gray hairs

c) But God would still carry the nation

  1. Reasons given

a) God made Israel a nation

b) He will bear the nation He has created

c) He will carry the nation

d) He will also deliver it

APPLICATION TO OUR LIFE PERSONALLY

  1. This word of promise is not limited to the nation of Israel
  1. It is applicable to every child of God
  1. God will keep His word of promise to all His children
