COMFORT MY PEOPLE
Suffering is so much a part of life;
There is pain, sorrow and also strife.
Many are upset and close to despair;
The heart wonders if anyone cares!
The Lord’s heart is moved with compassion;
He feels for mankind heading towards destruction.
He sends a strong word of comfort to all who are sad;
The comfort He offers will make the heart truly glad!
He offers forgiveness for our sins and foolishness;
He offers to all who repent, His imputed righteousness.
In the wilderness of life, He will make a highway;
He will bring comfort to everyone every single day!
The high mountains will be levelled to the ground;
The rough patches would become smooth and sound.
God will make a path that would help us walk safely;
His presence and power will help us obtain victory!
