THE SEVENTH PLAGUE- HAIL
Exodus 9:13-35
1. Clear instructions to Moses
a) Rise early in the morning
b) Stand before Pharaoh (Exodus 9:13)
c) And say
Message to be given to Pharaoh (Exodus 9:13)
2. Solemn word to Pharaoh
a) Part 1
i) Let My people go
ii) That they may serve Me (Exodus 9:13)
b) Part 2 (Warning of other plagues)
i) I will send all my plagues to your very heart
ii) And on your servants
iii) And on all your people
iv) That they may know that there is none like Me in all the earth (Exodus 9:14)
c) Part 3 (Explanation of the previous plague)
i) Now if I had stretched out My hand and struck you and all the people with pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth (Exodus 9:15)
ii) The plague of pestilence was muted
iii) It has not been unleashed in its fullness
iv) Or all Egypt could have been wiped out
d) Part 4 (Explanation about an aspect of the sovereignty of God)
i) Divine purpose explained
ii) Pharaoh’s existence
iii) That God’s power may be demonstrated
iv) That God’s name may be declared in all the earth (Exodus 9:16)

ii) Such as has not been seem in Egypt from its founding until now (Exodus 9:18)

i) Gather the livestock that remains
ii) They must not be left out in the open field (Exodus 9:19)
3. Responses
a) Those who feared took heed and took their livestock out of the fields (Exodus 9:20)
b) Those who did not fear the Lord left their servants and their livestock in the fields (Exodus 9:21)
c) Pharaoh’s response
i) I have sinned (Exodus 9:27)
ii) The Lord is righteous (Exodus 9:27)
iii) My people and I are wicked (Exodus 9:27)
iv) Entreat the LORD (Exodus 9:28)
v) I will let you go, and you stay no longer (Exodus 9:28)
4. Moses’ response
a) I will spread out my hands to the Lord (Exodus 9:29)
b) As for you and your servants, I know that you will not yet fear the LORD God (Exodus 9:30)
5. Final response of Pharaoh and his servants
a) He sinned yet more (Exodus 9:34)
b) He hardened his heart (Exodus 9:34)
c) He and his servants (Exodus 9:34)
d) He would not let the children of Israel go (Exodus 9:35)
