"All shall know Me..."

WONDERFUL FEATURES OF THE NEW COVENANT
How wonderful it is to read about these features of the New Covenant. We have another glorious feature described in the following text.
“None of them shall teach his neighbour, and none his brother,
saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least
of them to the greatest of them.”
Hebrews 8:11
1. The lack of knowledge (Old Covenant)
The ignorance of God was decried by at least two prophets. Hosea and Jeremiah rebuked Judah for their blatant disdain of the knowledge of God (Cf. Hosea 4:6; Jeremiah 4:22).
a) There was scant interest in the knowledge of God.
b) Indeed there was rejection of the word of God (Cf. Jeremiah 6:19).
c) Special efforts had to be made to teach
i) A neighbour
ii) A brother
But none of these efforts proved effective! Israel continued to reject the knowledge of God!
