THE BLESSINGS WE HAVE IN LIFE
Truly blessed are the people who walk with God. What kind of blessings does God have in store for them? Let us ponder the following text humbly.
“For You are the glory of their strength,
And in Your favour our horn is exalted.”
Psalm 89:17
1. The Source of blessing
a) It is to be found in God.
b) God is the Ultimate Giver of blessings.
2. How are these blessings obtained?
a) In knowledge of God’s word Psalm 89:15a
b) In walking before the Lord Psalm 89:15b
c) In understanding of God’s name Psalm 89:16a
d) In God’s righteousness Psalm 89:16b
e) In God’s glory Psalm 89:17a
f) In God’s favour Psalm 89:17b
3. What are some of these blessings?
a) There is great joy Psalm 89:16a
b) There is exaltation in life Psalm 89:16b
c) There is wonderful strength Psalm 89:17a
d) There is power for victory (“horn”) Psalm 89:17b
i) Horn typically represented power.
ii) An exalted horn represents victory over enemies.
