“Declare His glory among the nations…” Psalm 96:3a

THE GLORY OF GOD

Many Biblical writers wrote about the glory of God. However we can imagine their difficulty for the glory of God is quite abstract.

1. Moses wrote about the glory of God.

2. The prophets wrote about the glory of God as well.

a) Isaiah 6
b) Ezekiel 1

A CHALLENGE TO DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD

The psalmists certainly did not lag behind in declaring the glory of God.

“Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.”
Psalm 96:3

1. “Declare His glory”

a) The very Being of God is full of glory.
b) This glory ought to be declared.
i) His majesty.
ii) His power and might.
iii) His very Presence.

2. “His wonders”

a) God’s glory is well manifested in the wonders He performed.
b) His wonders include the following:-
i) His creative acts.
ii) His deliverance of His people.

3. “Among the nations… among all peoples”

Those who have witnessed the glory of God ought to proclaim it. They should speak about His glory. They may also sing about His glory. Many nations have not yet heard about His glory. Many peoples on the earth await the glorious news of God and His salvation.
