“But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness,
And tested God in the desert.”
Psalm 106:14

ii) There was unbelief in the hearts of the children of Israel.
iii) They did not believe that God could give them the meat they craved.
iv) The mood of the children of Israel affected adversely Moses’ confidence in God.
c) Moses was adversely affected by this problem
i) He expressed despair (Numbers 11:11-15).
ii) He found it hard to believe that God could fulfil the demands of the children of Israel.
iii) He noted that there were six hundred thousand men [not counting the women and the children] (Numbers 11:21-22).
iv) He expressed uncertainty that God could feed the people with meat (Numbers 11:21-22).
