(I) SORROW AT THE DEATH OF JACOB
1. Sorrow of Joseph noted
a) Fell on his father’s face
b) Wept over him
c) Kissed him (Genesis 50:1)
2. Sorrow of Jacob’s others sons not noted
a) They must have sorrow too
b) Their sorrow was just not recorded
(II) ENBALMING OF JACOB
1. Egyptian physicians ordered to embalm Jacob (Genesis 50:2a)
2. Egyptian physicians obeyed (Genesis 50:2b)

It would take 40 days (Genesis 50:3a)
(III) MOURNING PERIOD
The Egyptians mourned with Joseph for 70 days (Genesis 50:3b)
