THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. The first set of the Ten Commandments

b) 40 days and 40 nights

a) Made of acacia wood
b) Deposited in the Ark of the Covenant
c) Deuteronomy 10

THE TRIBE OF LEVI

1. Death of Aaron

2. Eleazar anointed as the next high priest

3. The Levites set aside to serve the Lord

a) To bear the Ark
b) To stand before the Lord
c) To bless the name of the Lord   (Deuteronomy 10:8)

4. The portion of the Levites

a) Not physical land
b) But the LORD God Himself   (Deuteronomy 10:9)

40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS

1. To receive the Ten Commandments

2. To pray for the people after they worshipped the golden calf
(Deuteronomy 10:10-11)

SUMMARY OF THE LAW

1. What the Lord requires   (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)

b) To walk in all His ways
c) To love Him with all the heart and soul
d) To keep the commandments and statutes of God
