"Eternal life."

Text: 1 John 2:25

A MOST PRECIOUS PROMISE

What would constitute a great promise? The Apostle John must have treasured this special promise from the lips of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. The most well-known text is arguably the verse below.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

What a thrill to the soul to hear these words from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many years later John wrote these words, remembering this glorious promise.

“And this is the promise that He has promised- eternal life.”
1 John 2:25
