"That you may be mindful of the words"

Text: 2 Peter 3:2

THE DANGER OF FORGETTING

The danger of forgetting God and His teachings was underscored by Moses in the book of Deuteronomy. The entire book may be understood as one that was written to remind the children of God about His commandments.

Peter had a very similar concern. He wanted his readers to remember and be mindful of the commandments of the LORD.

“That you may be mindful of the words
which were spoken before by the holy prophets,
and of the commandment of us,
the apostles of the Lord and Saviour.”
2 Peter 3:2
