Day 226

"I will pour out My indignation on you"

Text: Ezekiel 21:31

JUDGMENT ON THE AMMONITE NATION

Moab and Ammon were siblings. They were the sons of Lot. Unfortunately, they became sinful and resentful of Israel. They were perpetual enemies. The Lord had shown much mercy to the Moabites and Ammonites. But they were determined to follow their own wicked ways. In this text, the Lord declared that He would put an end to the Ammonite nation! It would cease after the Babylonians conquered them!

“Return it to its sheath.
I will judge you
In the place where you were created,
In the land of your nativity.
I will pour out My indignation on you;
I will blow against you with the fire of My wrath,
And deliver you into the hands of brutal men who are skilful to destroy.
You shall be fuel for the fire;
Your blood shall be in the midst of the land.
You shall not be remembered,
For I the Lord have spoken.”
