Day 46

"She has rebelled against My judgments"

Text: Ezekiel 5:6

THE JUDGMENTS AND STATUTES OF GOD

The LORD had graciously given to Israel wonderful judgments and statutes through Moses. These laws had been given to Moses personally by God. Moses had written all these laws down and it was called “The Book of the Covenant”. The people then declared “All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient” (Exodus 24:7).

THE GRIM REALITY

From the day Solomon’s heart was turned away from God to worship idols, the nation of Israel had begun a journey that saw it become more and more wicked.

‘She has rebelled against My judgments
by doing wickedness more than the nations,
and against My statutes more than the countries that are all around her;
for they have refused My judgments,
and they have not walked in My statutes.”
Ezekiel 5:6
