"In righteousness you shall be established"

Text: Isaiah 54:14

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL

The LORD gave further words of assurance concerning the establishment of Israel. These were words that must bring great assurance to the heart.

“All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
And great shall be the peace of your children.
In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you.
Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me.
Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.”
Isaiah 54:13-15

1. The children

a) The LORD Himself would teach the children.

b) He would bring great peace to them.

c) The LORD has made a great commitment to Israel in this promise.

2. Establishment

a) God will establish them in righteousness.

b) The nation need not fear oppression.

c) Terror would be removed far away.

d) This would be welcome news indeed.

3. Assembly of powerful enemies.

a) There will be enemies still.

b) They will assemble against Israel.

c) But they would not be assembled by the LORD.

d) The plans of the enemies would fail.

e) The enemies would fall when they battle against Israel.
