Text: Exodus 34: 25-26

MEDITATION

Exodus 34:25-26

25 “You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven, nor shall the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover be left until morning.
26 “The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. No Leaven with blood sacrifices

a. Leaven is essentially yeast.

i. Yeast is added to the dough.

ii. Two elements are mixed together to cause the bread to rise.

b. No leaven (Unleaved Bread. is symbolic

i. It is a symbol of purity.

ii. That which is offered as a blood sacrifice must be holy and totally dedicated to God.

2. The Passover Feast

a. Some food is consumed by the participants:

i. Unleavened Bread

ii. Lamb

iii. Bitter herbs

iv. Wine

b. None must be left over.

i. Everything must be consumed by the night.

ii. This was to represent haste and urgency when Israel left Egypt.

3. The firstfruit offering

This was taught well ahead of time. It would be practised when Israel was in Canaan.

4. A young goat offered in sacrifice

a. It must not be boiled with the mother’s milk.

b. Israel was to learn how to be sensitive to the feelings of the mother of the goat.

c. Every gift ought to be offered with sensitivity and thoughtfulness.

25 “你不可将我祭物的血和有酵的饼一同献上，逾越节的祭物也不可留到早晨。
26 地里首先初熟之物要送到耶和华你神的殿。不可用山羊羔母的奶煮山羊羔。”

在生活里有意义地应用

1. 不可将祭物的血和酵一同献上

a. 酵本质上是酵母

i. 酵母加入面团

ii. 两种元素混合在一起使面包上升

b. 无酵（无酵饼）是象征性的

i. 这象征着纯洁

ii. 献为血祭的必须是圣洁的，并且完全献给上帝

2. 逾越节

a. 参与者食用的一些食物：

i. 无酵饼

ii. 山羊羔

iii. 苦菜

iv. 酒

b. 一点都不可剩下

i. 必须把一切的食物当晚吃完

ii. 这代表以色列离开埃及时的匆忙和紧迫

3. 初熟果子的奉献

这在之前已教导。以色列人将会在进入迦南地后做出初熟果子的奉献。

4. 献山羊羔为祭

a. 不可用山羊羔母的奶煮山羊羔

b. 以色列必须学习如何敏感地对待山羊羔母的情感

c. 每一份礼物都应当以细心周到的方式献送
