Text: Exodus 35: 23-26
MEDITATION
Exodus 35:23-26
23 And every man, with whom was found blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair, red skins of rams, and badger skins, brought them.
24 Everyone who offered an offering of silver or bronze brought the LORD’s offering. And everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.
25 All the women who were gifted artisans spun yarn with their hands, and brought what they had spun, of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.
26 And all the women whose hearts stirred with wisdom spun yarn of goats’ hair.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. A moving response from the congregation of Israel was very carefully noted
a. Men
b. Women
c. All who were stirred deep in their hearts gave to the Lord what they could.
i. Some gave of what they owned.
ii. Others who were gifted put their skills to work.
2. The men
a. They had dyes like blue, purple and scarlet.
Perhaps they had worked in these trades in Egypt.
b. Others had fine linen and skins of different animals.
They could have worked on these things when they were in Egypt.
3. Everyone who owned
a. Silver
b. Bronze
c. Acacia wood
They brought these as gifts to the Lord for the Tabernacle’s ministry.
4. The women
a. There were gifted artisans who were women.
b. They could spin yarn with their hands.
c. They brought the finished products and offered them to the Lord.
d. Some worked with goats’ hair.
e. These were filled with wisdom (skill).

23凡有蓝色、紫色、朱红色线,细麻,山羊毛,染红的公羊皮,海狗皮的,都拿了来。
24凡献银子和铜给耶和华为礼物的,都拿了来。凡有皂荚木可做什么使用的,也拿了来。
25凡心中有智慧的妇女,亲手纺线,把所纺的蓝色、紫色、朱红色线和细麻都拿了来。26凡有智慧心里受感的妇女,就纺山羊毛。
