Text: Exodus 36: 3-7

MEDITATION

Exodus 36:3-7

3 And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.
4 Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing,
5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do.”
6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing,
7 for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.

MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. The offerings of the children of Israel

a. There was a tremendously positive response.

b. They brought to Moses “freewill offerings every morning”.

2. The report of the craftsmen

a. They came to Moses.

b. They were glad to see so much offered to the Lord.

c. But there were more offerings than could be utilised.

3. A good spirit demonstrated

a. They were not greedy for more gifts.

b. They were careful about how much they utilised the materials given.

c. They did not want to waste the resources.

d. But they did not know how to stop the giving.

4. The response of Moses

a. He was swift in his response.

b. He showed much wisdom and responsibility as well.

c. He gave a clear command.

i. The giving for the work of the Sanctuary will cease immediately.

ii. The people had to be restrained from giving.

d. They had more than enough for the building of the Tabernacle.

3 这些人就从摩西收了以色列人为做圣所并圣所使用之工所拿来的礼物。百姓每早晨还把甘心献的礼物拿来。
4 凡做圣所一切工的智慧人，各都离开他所做的工，
5 来对摩西说：“百姓为耶和华吩咐使用之工所拿来的，富富有余。”
6 摩西传命，他们就在全营中宣告说：“无论男女，不必再为圣所拿什么礼物来。”这样才拦住百姓不再拿礼物来。

7 因为他们所有的材料够做一切当做的物，而且有余。

在生活里有意义地应用

1. 以色列人拿来的礼物

a. 反应热烈

b. 他们每早晨带给摩西 “甘心献的礼物”

2. 工匠的报告

a. 他们来对摩西说

b. 很高兴看到这么多礼物献给主

c. 但是供物多得无法使用

3.他们表现了良好的精神

a. 他们不贪图更多的礼物

b. 他们谨慎地用所提供的材料

c. 他们不要浪费资源

d. 但人们不知道如何停止供献

4. 摩西的回应

a. 他的反应很快

b. 他也表现出智慧和责任感

c. 摩西下了明确的命令

i. 不必再为圣所拿什么礼物来

ii. 要拦住百姓不再拿礼物来

d. 他们所有的材料足够建造帐幕
