MEDITATION
Exodus 36:35-38
35 And he made a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen; it was worked with an artistic design of cherubim.
36 He made for it four pillars of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, with their hooks of gold; and he cast four sockets of silver for them.
37 He also made a screen for the tabernacle door, of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, made by a weaver,
38 and its five pillars with their hooks. And he overlaid their capitals and their rings with gold, but their five sockets were bronze.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. The Veil
a. Blue, purple and scarlet were used.
b. It was made of woven linen.
c. The design of cherubim was worked in.
d. This was described in Exodus 26:31-33.
2. Four pillars for the Veil
a. They were needed for the Veil.
b. They were also made of acacia wood.
c. They were all overlaid with gold.
d. This was described in Exodus 26:32.
3. A screen for the Tabernacle door
a. This is a reference to the entrance.
b. Blue, purple and scarlet were used.
c. Fine woven linen was made by a weaver (embroidery expert).
d. The word “capital” simply means “the top of the poles”.
e. This was described in Exodus 26:37.
4. The Design of the Tabernacle
a. This was given by the Lord to Moses (Exodus 26).
b. Meticulous attention was given by all the craftsmen (Exodus 36).
