My Song In The Night (Gospel of Luke)
Text: Luke 11: 2-3
THE LORD’S PRAYER IV
1. There is much to learn about prayer.
a. Prayer is a special privilege that God has given to us.
b. By learning to pray, we cultivate a stronger relationship with God.
2. Read and Reflect
“Our Father in heaven;
Hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us day by day our daily bread.”Luke 11:2-3
3. Praying for God’s provision.
a. Taking things for granted.
i. We tend to take God’s blessings for granted.
ii. We work hard to earn our living. We think that we deserve all we have worked hard for.
b. The correct approach:
i. To pray that God would provide.
ii. To express our appreciation when He provides.
4. Learning from the Psalmist how to give thanks for God’s provision.
“Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.Psalm 103:1-5
a. God has wonderfully provided many good things.
b. We are especially sustained by God.
c. Let us learn to pray for our daily provision.
d. Let us also learn how to give thanks to God for His blessings.
“我的心哪,你要称颂耶和华;
