My Song In The Night (Gospel of Luke)
我夜间的歌曲《路加福音》
Text: Luke 12: 10
SPEAKING AGAINST THE SON OF MAN
“And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him”
Luke 12:10a
1. The Lord Jesus calls Himself “The Son of Man”.
a. The term “Son of Man”.
i. David used this term in Psalm 8:4.
ii. It is another way of simply describing “Man”.
b. The Lord Jesus was indeed “Man”.
i. He donned flesh and became Man (John 1:14).
ii. Becoming Man, He humbled Himself further and became a “bond-slave” (Philippians 2:7).
c. The scribes and Pharisees saw Him only as “Man”.
i. Thus, they kept speaking against the Lord Jesus.
ii. They saw Him as a mere human being, capable of making dreadful mistakes.
d. The graciousness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
i. He was most gracious.
ii. He forgave the many times His enemies spoke against Him.
iii. Their sins may arise from their ignorance and foolishness.
BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
“But to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.”
Luke 12:10b
1. What is blasphemy?
a. Blasphemy is actually “to speak against”.
b. When the scribes and Pharisees (and others) spoke against the Lord Jesus, they were, in fact, guilty of the sin of blasphemy.
2. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
a. This is a deliberate and willful sin.
b. Some of the people had suggested that the Lord Jesus was in league with Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons (Luke 11:15).
c. This is a blasphemous word spoken against the Holy Spirit who was empowering the Lord Jesus.
d. This was so grave a sin that it will not be forgiven.
3. Forgiveness of sins:
a. There must be repentance.
b. There must be confession of sins.
c. Forgiveness must be sought humbly.
d. If there is no repentance, there would be no forgiveness.

i.因此,他们不断地反对主耶稣
ii.他们认为祂只是一个人,能够犯下可怕的错误
