My Song In The Night (Gospel of Luke)
Text: Luke 12: 32-34
THE KINGDOM OF GOD
1. The Lord Jesus taught many lessons about the Kingdom of God.
a. It was part of the Gospel He proclaimed (Matthew 4:17).
b. The blessings of God (Beatitudes) are related to the Kingdom of God (Matthew 5:3, 10).
2. The Lord went on further to speak about God giving His Kingdom to the Disciples.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Luke 12:32-34
a. There need not be:
i. Anxiety
ii. Worry
iii. Fear
b. God our Father in heaven, out of His good pleasure will give His Kingdom.
i. To those who would believe Him.
ii. To those who would follow Him.
3. Practical challenges
a. Give alms
i. This is good and right.
ii. Be prepared to give sacrificially. This is the meaning of “selling what we have”.
b. A Treasure in heaven
i. Many seek to store a treasure on earth.
ii. The “money bags” we have in heaven will not grow old.
iii. The treasure we have in heaven, no thief will be able to steal.
iv. Earthly treasures may become moth-eaten, but heavenly treasures will never suffer corruption of any kind.
c. Where our heart is
i. Wherever our heart is, there our treasure will be!
ii. May our heart understand and appreciate the gift of God’s kingdom in heaven!

ii. 操心
iii.
iii.
