Text: Luke 12: 35-36

THE BLESSING OF GOOD SERVANTS OF GOD

1. The Lord Jesus taught His Disciples about being good and faithful servants.

2. Life in the ancient days:

a. Some were employed as servants.

b. Lighting

i. There were no street lamps.

ii. Light came from lamps held by servants.

3. Sometimes the Master would attend a wedding feast.

a. He would thus, not be at home.

b. His servants would be looking after the home.

4. A description of good and faithful servants

a. Their waist would be girded (Luke 12:35a..

b. Their lamps would be burning (Luke 12:35b..

c. These descriptions:

i. These are faithful servants who are working diligently.

ii. They work even if their Master was not at home.

iii. They continue to work though the sun had set and it was night time.

5. When the Master knocks at the door of his home:

a. The door is opened immediately (Luke 12:36).

i. The servants were alert.

ii. They were attentive.

b. The servants were not sleeping on their jobs.

i. These are truly good and faithful servants.

ii. They have lived up to the expectations of their Master.

6. These are lessons the Disciples must learn well as servants of God.

a. Faithfulness

b. Diligence

c. Hard-working

上帝的仆人的祝福

1. 主耶稣教导祂的门徒如何成为美善和信实的仆人

2. 古代的生活

4. 美善和信实的仆人的描述

b. 他们的灯也要点着《路加福音 12: 35b》

c. 仆人的描述：

i. 信实的仆人会勤奋地工作

ii. 即使主人不在家中，他们仍然继续地工作。

iii. 从白天到夜晚，他们继续地工作。

i. 仆人十分警醒
