Text: Luke 24: 50-53
THE LAST FEW MOMENTS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST ON EARTH
“And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.”
Luke 24:50-53
1. The Lord Jesus led all His Disciples out to Bethany.
a. They were most probably in Jerusalem before this.
b. Bethany was always a favourite place for the Lord Jesus.
c. It was the town of Lazarus, Martha and Mary.
d. There were many fond memories of this place.
e. The Lord Jesus lifted up His hands as an expression of blessing.
2. The Lord Jesus was then carried up to Heaven.
a. His hands were raised up in blessing.
b. He was parted from His Disciples.
c. He was royally carried up to Heaven.
3. The Response of the Disciples.
a. They offered worship to the Lord Jesus.
b. They finally returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
c. The Lord Jesus was truly alive; He had risen from the dead indeed!
d. Their beloved Teacher was not dead; This truth was now fully confirmed in their hearts.
4. A new beginning.
a. They went to the Temple in Jerusalem.
b. They were engaged in worship.
c. A key feature:
i. Praising God
ii. Blessing God
5. The author, Luke had this to say as he concluded his Gospel “Amen!”
a. He was in full agreement with the Disciples.
b. The Lord Jesus should be worshipped.
c. God the Father should be praised and blessed always!

“耶稣领他们到伯大尼的对面,就举手给他们祝福。 正祝福的时候,他就离开他们,被带到天上去了。 他们就拜他,大大地欢喜,回耶路撒冷去, 常在殿里称颂神。”

1.主耶稣帶领所有的门徒到伯大尼去
a.之前他们很可能在耶路撒冷
b.伯大尼一直是主耶稣最喜欢的地方
c.那是拉撒路,马大和马利亚的城
d.祂在这个地方有很多美好的回忆
e.主耶稣举起手表示祝福
2.然后主耶稣被带到天上
a.祂举起双手祝福
b.祂就离开祂的门徒们
c.祂被光荣地带到天上去
3.门徒们的反应
a.他们敬拜主耶稣
b.他们终于滿怀喜悦地回到了耶路撒冷
c.主耶稣是真的活着;祂确实从死里复活了!
d.他们心爱的夫子并没有死;这个真理现在已经完全在他们的心中确认了
4.一个新的开始
a.他们去了耶路撒冷的圣殿
b.他们从事祟拜
c.一个关键的特征:
i.赞美上帝
ii.称颂上帝
5.作者路加以“阿门!”来结束他的福音
a.他与门徒们完全一致
b.应该敬拜主耶稣
c.天父应当常常被赞美和称颂!
