Text: Luke 6: 41-42

FINDING FAULT

1. Finding fault can be easily disguised.

a. As helping a person with his problem.

b. This was taught by way of an illustration.

i. A man offers to remove a speck of dust in the eye of a friend.

ii. But how can he do it, when he has “a plank” in his own eye?

2. The deep problem.

a. It is the problem of hypocrisy.

b. The hypocrite has a bigger problem.

c. But he does not see his own problems, only that of another.

THE PROBLEM OF HYPOCRISY

1. A hypocrite may appear to be:

a. Friendly

b. Concerned

c. Religious

d. Offering good advice

2. His personal problems.

a. He ignores his own personal sin problems.

b. He likes to appear to be good and righteous.

c. He pretends he is close to God.

d. In reality:

i. He is far from God.

ii. He is unable to help significantly.

iii. His knowledge of God is superficial.

3. Why was this problem brought up?

a. Many of the religious leaders were hypocrites.

b. The Lord did not want His Disciples to end up in the same way!

挑剔过错

1. 挑剔别人的过错很容易被假冒为

a. 在帮助别人解决问题

b. 耶稣以例子来教导这一点

i. 一个人要帮他弟兄去掉他眼中的刺

ii. 但这人自己眼中有“梁木”，怎么帮助弟兄？

2. 深层的问题

a. 这是假冒为善的问题

b. 假冒为善的人问题更大

c. 他看不见自己的过失，只看到他人的问题

虚伪的问题

1. 假冒为善的人可能显得：

a. 友善

b. 关心别人

c. 虔诚

d. 在提供好的建议

2. 他个人的问题

a. 他对自己的罪恶问题视而不见

b. 他喜欢显得善良、正义

c. 他假装自己与上帝亲近

d. 事实上：

i. 他远离上帝

ii. 他没法显著地帮助

iii. 他对上帝的认识肤浅

3. 为什么耶稣会提到这问题？

a. 因为许多犹太的宗教领袖都是假冒为善的人

b. 主耶稣不要祂的门徒也变得像他们一样
