Text: Luke 7: 11-17

THE CITY OF NAIN

1. Nain was about 48 km (SW) of Capernaum.

2. The city was situated on much higher ground than Capernaum.

3. It would take more than a day to walk from Capernaum to Nain.

THE FOLLOWERS

1. There were many who followed the Lord Jesus.

a. There were the 12 Apostles.
b. There were also disciples.
c. There was also a large crowd (non-disciples). {Luke 7:11}

2. The Lord allowed them

a. To follow.
b. To learn what they could.

A MOVING SCENE

1. There was a widow.

2. She had an only son.

3. He had died and this was a funeral procession with a large crowd (Luke 7:12).

COMPASSION OF THE LORD JESUS

1. The Lord Jesus felt compassion for the widow.

2. He stopped to speak to her.

“Do not weep.” Luke 7:13

3. He went to the open coffin and spoke to the dead man.

“Young man, I say to you, arise.” Luke 7:14

4. Immediate response

a. The young man sat up.
b. He began to speak (Luke 7:15a).

5. A very special gift of life.

The Lord Jesus presented the young man to his mother (Luke 7:15b).

6. Response of all who witnessed this Miracle.

a. Fear came on all.
b. The people glorified God.
c. Comments from the people:
i. “A great prophet has risen up among us”
ii. “God has visited His people” (Luke 7:16)

7. The wondrous miracles of the Lord Jesus:

a. Healing the sick
b. Casting out demons
c. Raising the dead (This was the first mention)
d. News of this miracle spread
i. All Judea
ii. Surrounding region (Luke 7:17)

感人的情景

1. 有一位寡妇

2. 她有个独生的儿子

3. 他去世了。城里的许多人同着寡妇送殡《路加福音 7：12》

主耶稣怜悯的心

1. 主耶稣怜悯那位寡妇

2. 祂停下来与寡妇说话

“不要哭！”《路加福音 7：13》

3. 他走向敞开的棺材，对死人说话

“少年人，我吩咐你，起来！” 《路加福音7 ：14》

4. 即时的反应

a. 那少年人就坐起
b. 并且还说话《路加福音 7：15a》

5. 一份非常特别的礼物–生命

主耶稣将少年交给他母亲《路加福音 7：15b》

6. 众人对这神迹的反应

a. 众人都惊奇
b. 归荣耀与上帝
c. 众人的评论：
i. “有大先知在我们中间兴起来了！”
ii. “神眷顾了他的百姓！”《路加福音 7：16》

7. 主耶稣奇妙的神迹

a. 医治病人
b. 赶逐污鬼
c. 叫死人复活（这是第一次提到）
d. 这事的的风声传开了
i. 传遍了犹太
