Text: Luke 9: 43-45
THE AMAZEMENT OF EVERYONE
1. The healing of the demonised boy amazed everyone.
a. The boy had been demonised since he was a child.
b. The Disciples of the Lord had failed to cast out the demon.
c. The unclean spirit had been vicious and cruel.
d. But at the word of the Lord Jesus, he was instantly healed.
2. They were amazed for they saw the majesty of God (Luke 9:43).
a. The Lord Jesus manifested the glory of God.
b. This was evidenced in the power displayed.
THE LORD’S WORD TO HIS DISCIPLES
1. He spoke to them solemnly again about His suffering, death and resurrection.
a. He had already mentioned this earlier (Luke 9:22).
b. He repeated this solemn truth again (Luke 9:44b).
2. He wanted them to pay close attention.
“Let these words sink down into your ears”
Luke 9:44a
a. This truth the Lord had spoken had not been fully comprehended yet.
b. It was important for the Disciples to understand that the Lord Jesus would be put to death shortly.
3. The Impending death of the Lord Jesus.
“For the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.”
Luke 9:44b
a. The Son of Man was the Lord Jesus Himself.
b. He would be betrayed into the hands of wicked people.
4. The Disciples’ Part
a. The Disciples did not understand.
b. They did not perceive what the Lord Jesus was saying.
c. They were afraid to ask Him to explain what He meant.
5. God’s Part
a. He withheld further revelation,
b. The truth would remain hidden.
c. We need to do our part before we can expect more revelation.

1. 医治那孩子使众人诧异

主对门徒的话
1. 祂又向他们严肃地提起祂将受的苦,死亡,复活
a. 祂之前已经说过《路加福音9:22》

2. 祂要他们仔细聆听
“你们要把这些话存在耳中”
