“And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—”
Colossians 1:21-22
RECONCILED TO GOD
1. The sinful state of mankind:
a. Alienated from God.
b. Enemies of God.
2. How is this so?
a. We can be sinful in our minds (thoughts).
b. Our wicked works confirm our sinfulness.
3. An important text from Psalms 14 that confirms the wickedness of mankind.
“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.’”
Psalm 14:1-3
4. Reconciled to a great and gracious God.
a. The Person who reconciles us to God is the Lord Jesus Christ.
b. Through His death.
5. How the Lord Jesus presents us to God the Father?
a. He presents us as “holy”.
b. He presents us as “blameless”.
c. He presents us as “above reproach”.
6. This is possible only because:
a. We are declared righteous.
b. The righteousness of the Lord Jesus has been imputed to us.
c. We stand as reconciled people before God the Father.

a. 我们的心里可以有罪（意念）
b. 我们的恶行确认了我们的罪恶

“愚顽人心里说：‘没有神！’他们都是邪恶，行了可憎恶的事，没有一个人行善。耶和华从天上垂看世人，要看有明白的没有，有寻求神的没有。他们都偏离正路，一同变为污秽；并没有行善的，连一个也没有。”
