Text: Galatians 1:11-12

MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – SALVATION

“But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

Galatians 1:11-12

1. An important defence:

a. Paul had to defend the gospel he preached.
b. Especially, when he was not one of the original
i. Disciples.
ii. Apostles.

2. The Gospel that Paul proclaimed.

a. His Gospel was not “man-made”,
b. It was “not according to man”.
c. He did not receive it from anyone.
d. Nor was the Gospel taught to him.

3. How then did Paul come to know the Gospel?

He exclaimed!

“But it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ”

Galatians 1:12

THE SALVATION EXPERIENCE OF PAUL WAS RECORDED IN THE BOOK OF ACTS

“Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ And he said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ Then the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ So he, trembling and astonished, said, ‘Lord, what do You want me to do?’ Then the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.’ And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.”

Acts 9:1-9

1. The Lord Jesus revealed Himself especially to Saul (the original name of Paul).

2. Saul had been an avid persecutor of Christians.

3. He then met the Lord Jesus Christ and was soundly converted!

a. He had been blind spiritually.
b. He now realised that the Lord Jesus Christ was the Saviour of the world.
c. This was the Gospel he was now committed to proclaim at all costs!

弟兄们，我告诉你们，我素来所传的福音不是出于人的意思。 因为我不是从人领受的，也不是人教导我的，乃是从耶稣基督启示来的。

《加拉太书 1：11-12》

1. 重要的辩证

a. 使徒保罗为自己所传的福音进行辩证

b. 这尤其重要因为他不是原先的：

i. 门徒

ii. 使徒

2. 保罗所传的福音

a. 他的福音不是“人造”的

b. 福音不是“出于人”的

c. 福音不是从人领受的

d. 也不是人教导他的

3. 那么保罗是如何认识福音的？

他表明：

“乃是从耶稣基督启示来的”

《加拉太书1：12》

使徒行传记载了保罗的救赎经历

扫罗仍然向主的门徒口吐威吓凶杀的话，去见大祭司， 求文书给大马士革的各会堂，若是找着信奉这道的人，无论男女，都准他捆绑带到耶路撒冷。 扫罗行路，将到大马士革，忽然从天上发光，四面照着他。 他就仆倒在地，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗，扫罗，你为什么逼迫我？” 他说：“主啊，你是谁？”主说：“我就是你所逼迫的耶稣。起来！进城去，你所当做的事，必有人告诉你。” 同行的人站在那里，说不出话来，听见声音，却看不见人。 扫罗从地上起来，睁开眼睛，竟不能看见什么。有人拉他的手，领他进了大马士革。 三日不能看见，也不吃也不喝。

《使徒行传 9:1-9》

1. 主耶稣特别向扫罗（保罗的原名）显明自己

2. 扫罗一直狂热地迫害基督徒

3. 遇见了主耶稣基督后，他彻底地悔改了！

a. 他在灵性上是盲目的

b. 他现在意识到主耶稣基督是世界的救主

c. 这就是他现在承诺要不惜一切代价宣讲的福音！
