MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – CHRISTOLOGY

“Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.”

Colossians 2:18

BEWARE OF FALSE PROMISES

1. The cunning of the false teachers was subtle and deadly.

2. They made false promises to all who would follow them.

a. One of the doctrines they taught concerned angels.

i. They promised that the angels would help them.

ii. The Scriptures teach that angels are ministering spirits to the children of God (Hebrews 1:14).

b. The false teachers taught their followers to worship angels.

i. The Scriptures are very clear on the subject of worship.

ii. Idols are not to be worshipped (Exodus 20:4).

iii. Angels are not to be worshipped also (Revelation 19:10; 22:8-9).

c. The false teachers taught that the worship of angels is expressing humility.
Paul rejected this as “false humility”

i. Worshipping idols is not humility.

ii. It is falsehood.

iii. It is disobedience.

iv. There is no reward for the worship of angels.

d. The false teachers were cheating people of the true rewards of God.

i. When believers walk in the light of God.

ii. When they walk in wisdom.

iii. When they walk in love.

3. What is the source of the false teachers?

a. It is essentially their imagination.

i. Vainly puffed up in the fleshly mind.

ii. Their teachings reflect their thoughts.

iii. They were not revelation from God at all.

b. They intrude into regions that they had not seen.

i. They are very presumptuous.

ii. They were seeking to draw disciples to themselves.

c. They had not seen angels nor the realm they live in.

i. They cannot verify the worth of their teachings.

ii. They cannot cite Scriptures to support any of their teachings.

提防假应许

1. 假教师的狡猾是微妙而致命的

2. 他们给跟随他们的人许下假应许

a. 其中一个所教导的教义是关于天使

i. 他们应许着天使会帮助他们

ii. 经文教导天使是服役神儿女的灵 《希伯来书 1:14》

b. 假师傅教导他们的跟随者崇拜天使

i. 经文对崇拜的教训记载的很清楚

ii. 偶像是不可以被崇拜的 《出埃及记 20:4》

iii. 天使也是不可以被崇拜的 《启示录 19:10；22:8-9》

c. 假师傅教导崇拜天使表达了谦卑。保罗否认这“虚假的谦逊”

i. 崇拜偶像不是谦卑

ii. 这是虚假的

iii. 这是不服从

iv. 崇拜天使是没有奖赏的

d. 假师傅欺骗了人们来自上帝的真正奖赏

i. 当信徒在上帝的光行

ii. 当他们在智慧里行

iii. 当他们在爱里行

3. 假师傅的来源从何处？

a. 基本上是他们的想象

i. 无故地自高自大

ii. 他们的教导反映了他们的思想

iii. 他们的启示不来自于上帝

b. 这等人拘泥在所见过的区域

i. 他们很自以为是

ii. 他们在给自己吸引门徒

c. 他们没有见过天使，也没见过天使所居住的领域

i. 他们无法确认他们教训的价值

ii. 他们无法引用经文来支持他们所教导的一切
