My Song In The Night (Vital Doctrines)
我夜间的歌曲《重要教义-救恩》
Text: Colossians 3: 1-2
MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – CHRISTOLOGY
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”
Colossians 3:1-2
IDENTIFIED WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
1. We are wonderfully identified with the Lord Jesus Christ.
a. When He died and was buried:
i. Our sins were taken away.
ii. They have been judged.
iii. The challenge is to be crucified with Him (Galatians 2:20).
b. The power of God at work through our identification.
i. We are forgiven.
ii. We become children of God.
iii. We become heirs of God too.
2. When the Lord Jesus was raised from the dead.
a. We are raised with Him too.
b. This is a great and profound truth.
SEEKING PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THIS TRUTH
1. The challenge is to apply Biblical truth.
2. One great way is to “seek those things which are above”.
a. Our greatest example is the Lord Jesus Christ.
b. He sought only eternal things.
c. His life reflected the things He sought.
i. His life was one of obedience to God the Father.
ii. He sought to bring the Gospel to many.
iii. He helped many with His power.
3. The Lord Jesus is at the right hand of God.
a. It is a position of great glory and honour.
b. It is a position of great power too.
c. He can grant us aid to seek things above,
4. Setting our minds on heavenly things rather than earthly ones.
a. To seek is good.
b. To set the mind is just as important.
i. It requires focus.
ii. It requires determination.
iii. It requires faith and strength to set the mind on heavenly things.
c. The sad reality.
i. Many are drawn to the world.
ii. They become distracted.
iii. They fail to seek and to set their hearts and minds on the Lord.

经文:歌罗西书 3
所以,你们若真与基督一同复活,就当求在上面的事,那里有基督坐在神的右边。 你们要思念上面的事,不要思念地上的事
