Text: Colossians 3: 3-4

MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – CHRISTOLOGY

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”

Colossians 3:3-4

OUR IDENTIFICATION WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

1. Our being identified in the Lord Jesus Christ is truly profound.

2. Some aspects are clear and uplifting to note:

a. We become children of God.
b. We have access to the Lord.
c. We have the Holy Spirit living within us.
d. We have a promise of a home in heaven.

HIDDEN WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

1. Paul taught an exciting new truth in this text.

2. When we died with the Lord Jesus:

a. This is our identification.
b. The following aspects may be noted:
i. This is a great truth.
ii. This is our identification with the Lord Jesus.
iii. This is a spiritual truth of great depth.

3. What does it mean to be “hidden with Christ in God?”

a. This is not a reference to the external life we have.
b. There is another aspect that may be called “the hidden life”.
c. The following aspects may be noted:
i. We may trust God fully in our faith-relationship.
ii. We are wonderfully kept safe by God.
iii. We are invisibly protected by Him.
iv. We will always be loved by the Lord.
v. We need not fear that we would lose our salvation.

4. The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

a. The Lord will return with great glory.
b. The Lord is our life.
i. He gives new life.
ii. He sustains this life too.
c. When He appears in glory:
i. We will appear with Him too.
ii. We may not feel worthy.
iii. This is part of God’s hidden plan for His children.

c. 我们会有圣灵活在我们的内心

d. 我们有天家的应许

生命与基督一同藏在上帝里面
