My Song In The Night (Vital Doctrines)
我夜间的歌曲《重要教义-救恩》
Text: Galatians 3: 6-7
MSITN VITAL DOCTRINES – SALVATION
“Just as Abraham ‘believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’ Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.”
Galatians 3:6-7
THE MAKE-UP OF THE GALATIAN BELIEVERS
1. There were believers with Jewish ethnic origins.
2. There were also believers who were Gentiles.
DEALING WITH BELIEVERS WITH A JEWISH BACKGROUND
1. The things that Jewish believers had a high regard for:
a. The Law of Moses.
b. Abraham, the father of Israel.
2. The Jews who came from Jerusalem to Antioch.
a. They were not sent by the Church in Jerusalem.
b. But they obviously had significant influence on the Jews in Antioch.
3. They had subtly suggested that all believers, especially Gentiles, must follow Jewish adherence to the Law of Moses.
4. Paul regarded their teachings as:
a. A different gospel.
b. Their gospel was a false one.
c. It would result in being in bondage to the Jewish interpretation of the Law.
CITING THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM
1. The Scriptures had this to say about the salvation of Abraham.
The patriarch Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
a. This text was drawn from Genesis 15:6.
b. The example of Abraham was very clear and strong.
i. He believed God.
ii. And on account of his faith, “it was accounted for righteousness”.
c. This was the very Gospel message that Paul had been preaching faithfully.
i. Justification by faith in God.
ii. Righteousness is imputed by God to the believer.
iii. Righteousness is not obtained by the keeping of the law.
2. Who are the true sons of Abraham?
a. The Jews from Jerusalem would claim that every Jew is a true son of Abraham.
b. Paul argues otherwise.
i. Those who have faith in God, as Abraham had, are the true sons of Abraham.
ii. This was a truth that Paul proclaimed and defended strenuously.

经文:加拉太书 3: 6-7
“正如“亚伯拉罕信神,这就算为他的义”。 所以你们要知道:那以信为本的人,就是亚伯拉罕的子孙。”
《加拉太书 3:6-7》
