A Strong Faith
Text: John 14: 19
A STRONG FAITH
Jesus’ attitude towards His death was refreshingly uplifting. Once again, He sought to encourage His Disciples to cultivate a strong faith in Him.
“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.”
John 14:19
1. “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more”
a. This was with reference to the earthly life and ministry of Jesus
b. His life and ministry will come to an end
c. The world would not see Him walking on earth, teaching, and healing the sick
2. “But you will see Me”
a. This was a reference to His resurrection
b. He will see His Disciples again
c. Death would not be the end of everything
d. Death will be conquered by Jesus
e. He will rise from the dead
f. He will prove this when He comes to see them after He had risen from the dead
3. “Because I live, you will live also”
a. Jesus spoke of being alive after His death
b. He had already taught this great truth to His Disciples
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.”
John 11:25-26
c. He had proven the truth and power of this word when He raised Lazarus from the dead
John 11:43-44
d. The Disciples must have a strong faith
i. To overcome their fear of death
ii. To rise above their emotions when they see the death of Jesus
iii. They must use that strong faith to apply what Jesus had taught them
iv. They will live in the strength and power of faith in the Risen Saviour
v. They would also have the Spirit of truth to indwell them and empower them for their future life and ministry

a. 这指的是耶稣在世上的生命和职事
b. 祂的生命和职事将会结束
c. 世人不会再看见祂教训众人和医治病人
2.“你们却看见我”
