The Works Of Jesus

Text: John 15: 24

THE WORKS OF JESUS

The works of Jesus were absolutely wonderful. Sadly, few appreciated the significance of His works.

“If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.”

John 15:24

1. “If I had not done among them the works which no one else did”

a. The works of Jesus were truly unique.

b. No one else has ever done these miracles, certainly not in His time.

c. John listed just seven outstanding miracles in his gospel:

i. Turning water into wine (John 2:1-12)

ii. Healing a boy without being there personally (John 4:46-54)

iii. Healing a man who was sick for 38 years (John 5:1-15)

iv. Feeding 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish (John 6:1-14)

v. Walking on the sea (John 6:15-21)

vi. Healing of a man blind from birth (John 9:1-34)

vii. Raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-44)

2. “They would have no sin”

a. They would not have committed the grave sin of rejecting Jesus.

b. They would have no excuse for plotting to kill Jesus.

3. “But now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father”

a. “They have seen”

i. They could not deny what they had seen.

ii. They suggested that Jesus was in league with the Devil.

iii. They rejected what they had seen.

b. “And also hated”

i. They had no reason to hate at all.

ii. They should have been appreciative.

c. “Hated both Me and My Father”

i. Jesus and His Father were One.

ii. To hate Jesus would result in hating the Father.

耶稣所行的事

耶稣所行的事绝对是美好的。但可悲的是，很少人珍惜祂所行的事的重要性。

“我若没有在他们中间行过别人未曾行的事，他们就没有罪；但如今连我与我的父，他们也看见也恨恶了。”

《约翰福音 15：24》

1. “我若没有在他们中间行过别人未曾行的事”

a. 耶稣所行的事确实独特

b. 从古至今，未曾有人行过耶稣所行的这些神迹

c. 约翰在他的福音中只记载了七项杰出的神迹：

i. 变水为酒《约翰福音 2：1-12》

ii. 虽不在场，却医治了男孩《约翰福音 4：46-54》

iii. 医治了一个病了三十八年的人《约翰福音 5：1-15》

iv. 用五个大麦饼和两条鱼给五千人吃饱《约翰福音 6：1-14》

v. 耶稣在海面上走《约翰福音 6：15-21》

vi. 医治生来瞎眼的《约翰福音 9：1-34》

vii. 叫拉撒路复活《约翰福音 11：1-44》

2. “他们就没有罪”

a. 他们不至于犯下弃绝耶稣这严重的罪

b. 他们也不会有借口设谋杀耶稣

3．“但如今连我与我的父，他们也看见也恨恶了”

a. “他们也看见”

i. 他们不可以否定所看到的一切

ii. 他们说耶稣和魔鬼是一伙的

iii. 他们拒绝了自己所看到的

b. “也恨恶了”

i. 他们根本没有理由恨恶

ii. 他们反而应该懂得珍惜

c. “连我与我的父……也恨恶了”

i. 耶稣和祂的父是一体的

ii. 恨恶耶稣就等于也恨恶天父
