Day 356 – Psalm 145

“I will extol You, my God, O King…” Psalm 145:1a

SUPERSCRIPTION: A Praise of David.

This is another simple statement that identifies David as the author of the Psalm. In this instance the word “Praise” is used rather than the regular word “Psalm”. The focus is simply to emphasis “praise”.

A SKILLFULLY CRAFTED PSALM

Psalm 145 reflects the skill of King David as a psalmist. In the original Hebrew text, each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
