Day 361 – Psalm 41

“My own familiar friend in whom I trusted…” Psalm 41:9

A VERY LOW MOMENT

To be surrounded by enemies was not a new experience for David. Once he faced mighty Goliath! That this giant of an enemy wanted to slay him was an obvious fact. David faced this mighty foe with great fortitude of heart and mind.

To face an enemy who was once an erstwhile “familiar friend” was something hard to comprehend. David had to deal with this new and hurtful experience.

“Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted,
Who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.”
Psalm 41:9
