“My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness…” Psalm 71:15

CONTENTS OF SONGS IN THE NIGHT

It is great to have songs in the night to sing. What kind of contents should these songs in the night contain?

“My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness
And Your salvation all the day,
For I do not know their limits.”
Psalm 71:15

1. God’s righteousness

a) This is a worthy theme.
b) Through God’s righteousness:-
i) Deliverance will come.
ii) Enemies will be defeated.
iii) Evil will not prevail.
iv) God will always act upon His righteousness.

2. God’s salvation (deliverance)

a) This is another worthy theme.
b) Recall God’s salvation in the past.
i) Deliverance from Egypt.
ii) Deliverance from the wicked plots of enemies.
iii) Personal deliverance.

3. I do not know their limits

a) Unbelief works very subtly in the heart.
b) It tends to set limits to what God can do.
c) The fact is that there are no limits where God is concerned!
