Day 36 – Psalm 93

“The LORD on high is mightier…” Psalm 93:4a

THE POWER OF NATURE

The power of nature is to be greatly respected. The power of water is more greatly feared in recent experiences.

1. Sumatran-Andaman earthquake and tsunami (26 December 2004). Indonesia, Myanmar, and India were badly affected. Thousands of lives were lost!

2. Hurricane Katrina hitting Louisiana (29 August 2005). Well over 1000 people lost their lives.

THE POWER OF GOD OVER NATURE

The psalmist sought to describe the power of God as even more astounding.

“The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
The LORD on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.”
Psalm 93:3-4
