(II) THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TESTIMONY OF DANIEL

1. In the context of a Dramatic Deliverance in the face of certain death

a) For all the wise men

b) For Daniel and his three friends

2. In the context of a Dynamic Expression of the power of God

a) Over and against all the wisdom of the wise men in Babylon

b) Over and against all the gods worshipped

(III) THE CONTENT OF THE TESTIMONY OF DANIEL

1. God’s Divine Being

a) Wisdom

b) Might ( Daniel 2:20c )

2. God’s Profound Presence

a) In darkness

b) In light ( Daniel 2:22 )

3. His Divine sovereignty

a) He changes the times and the seasons ( Daniel 2:21a )

b) He removes and raises up kings ( Daniel 2:21b )

c) He gives wisdom and knowledge ( Daniel 2:21c )

d) He reveals deep and secret things ( Daniel 2:22a )

(IV) A PRAYER BREATHED OUT IN AWE

1. Owning God

2. Thanksgiving

“I thank You…” Daniel 2:23a

3. Praise

“And praise You…” Daniel 2:23b
