RESULT OF SEEKING GOD – GOD’S BLESSINGS

1. God wants us to seek Him

a. Worship Him
b. Wait on Him
c. Trust in His mercies

2. When we seek God genuinely, we can look forward to His blessings

RECALLING GOD’S BLESSINGS FOR US

1. Choosing us

“Blessed is the man You choose…”   Psalm 65:4
a. To approach Him
b. To dwell in His courts
c. To be satisfied with the goodness of His house

2. Awesome works

“By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us…”   Psalm 65:5
a. Saving us from trouble
b. Stilling the tumults in life

3. Physical blessings

a. Provision
“You provide their grain…”   Psalm 65:9
b. Growth
“You bless its growth.”   Psalm 65:10

HOW TO RESPOND WELL TO GOD’S BLESSINGS

1. Praise

“Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion…”   Psalm 65:1
a. That He crowned the year with goodness
b. That His paths drip with abundance

2. Rejoice

a. Through shouts of joy
“They shout for joy…”   Psalm 65:13
b. Through singing
“… they also sing.”   Psalm 65:13

CHALLENGE FOR US ALL

1. Keep seeking the Lord

2. Believe that He will bless us when we seek Him

3. Recall His blessings for us in our life

4. Respond well to God’s blessings

a. With praise
b. With joy
