“HOW MANIFOLD ARE YOUR WORKS”
1. The study of God’s Work

2. The scale of God’s Work
a) Multitudinous
“O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all.” Psalm 104:24
“This great and wide sea, in which are innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great.” Psalm 104:25
b) Global
“The earth is full of Your possessions—“ Psalm 104:24
c) Wide ranging…from small to great
“This great and wide sea, in which are innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great.” Psalm 104:25
d) Profound
“There the ships sail about; there is that Leviathan which You have made to play there.” Psalm 104:26
3. Seeing God in His work
a) He is great
“O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty” Psalm 104:1
b) He is creative
“O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all.” Psalm 104:24
c) He is wise
“O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all.” Psalm 104:24
d) He is glorious
“May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in His works.” Psalm 104:31
e) He is joyful

4. The significance of God’s Work
a) He is possessor of the earth
“The earth is full of Your possessions—“ Psalm 104:24
b) God is sovereign over all His works
“You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.” Psalm 104:29
“He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke.” Psalm 104:32
c) God seeks to involved in life and man
i) Many references to God… “You” and “He”
ii) Emphasis on God’s involvement in His Work …in life and man
d) God shows His love and care in His works
“These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season. What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.” Psalm 104:28
e) God sends His Spirit to do His Work
“You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.” Psalm 104:30
5. Seeking to give appropriate response
a) Sing to the Lord while we are alive
“I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” Psalm 104:33
b) Sweet meditation that brings joy
“May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord.” Psalm 104:34
c) Praise from our soul
“Bless the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord!” Psalm 104:1
