GOD’S PEOPLE IN THE NEW COVENANT

“This cup is the New Covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.” Luke 22:20

1. Dangers in the New Covenant

a) Neglect of so great a salvation Hebrews 2:3
b) Hardening of the heart Hebrews 3:8
c) Going astray in their heart Hebrews 3:10
d) An evil heart of unbelief Hebrews 3:12
In departing from the living God
e) Deceitfulness of sin Hebrews 3:13
f) Rebellion Hebrews 3:16
g) Word not mixed with faith Hebrews 4:2
h) Disobedience Hebrews 4:11
i) Little or no growth Hebrews 5:12-14
j) Falling away… ground bearing thorns Hebrews 6:6-8

2. Strong encouragement to succeed as God’s People

a) Give more earnest heed Hebrews 2:1
b) But we see Jesus Hebrews 2:9
c) Not ashamed to call us brethren Hebrews 2:11
d) A merciful and faithful High Priest Hebrews 2:17
e) Let us fear Hebrews 4:1
f) Let us come boldly to the throne of grace Hebrews 4:16
g) Let us go on to perfection Hebrews 6:1
h) Show the same diligence Hebrews 6:11
i) An anchor of the soul Hebrews 6:19
j) I will put My laws in their hearts Hebrews 10:16
And in their minds I will write them
k) Let us draw near with a true heart Hebrews 10:22
l) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope Hebrews 10:23
m) Let us consider one another
To stir up love and good works Hebrews 10:24
n) Let us not forsake the assembling Hebrews 10:25
Of ourselves together
o) Do not cast away your confidence Hebrews 10:35
p) Living By Faith Hebrews 11
q) Let us lay aside every weight Hebrews 12:1
r) Let us run with endurance Hebrews 12:1
s) Looking unto Jesus Hebrews 12:2
The Author and Finisher of our faith
t) Endure chastening Hebrews 12:7-11
u) Strengthen the hands Hebrews 12:12
v) You have come to Mount Zion Hebrews 12:22-24
i) To the city of the living God
ii) To the heavenly Jerusalem
iii) To an innumerable company of angels
iv) To the general assembly and church of the firstborn
Who are registered in heaven
v) To God the Judge of all
vi) To the spirits of just men made perfect
vii) To Jesus the Mediator of the New Covenant
viii) To the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things
Than that of Abel
w) See that you do not refuse Him who speaks Hebrews 12:25
x) Since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken
Let us have grace
By which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and fear
y) Let us go forth to Him, outside the camp,
Bearing His reproach Hebrews 12:13
z) May God make us complete in every good work
To do His will, working in you what is
Well-pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ Hebrews 12:21
