GIVE TO THE LORD GLORY

Text: Psalm 96

CELEBRATION OF SATHIYAM’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Sathiyam IPC may be likened to a flagship of IPC India for the following reasons:-

1. It was the first church planted and established

2. It plays a central role in the growth and development of IPC India

3. It has continued to be an example for all the other churches in India

a) In faith

b) In ministry

c) In faithfulness

d) In meaningful activities

All the churches will be sending members to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Sathiyam IPC. And so we happily celebrate yet another Church Anniversary!


ASCRIBING GLORY TO GOD

How should we understand and appreciate the Lord’s role in all these celebrations? Let us draw much inspiration from the following text.

Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
Give to the LORD glory and strength.

Give to the LORD the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come into His courts.

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth. Psalm 96:7-9

1. It is right that we give all glory to God

2. What are some of the things we should acknowledge as from the Lord?

a) Strength to serve Him

b) Glory that He graciously gives to us that we may reflect it in our life and ministry


APPROPRIATE RESPONSES
Let us consider some of the appropriate responses we should make.

1. Trembling
Let us truly stand in awe of the Lord.

2. Worshipping
May our hearts be desirous of worshipping the Lord with thanksgiving always!

3. Offering
Let our gifts be reflective of our regard for God

The Lord has blessed wonderfully (Bethany, Bethel, IPC India, IPC Myanmar). Let us ascribe all glory to the Lord our God!
