YOU SHALL GO OUT WITH JOY

Text: Isaiah 55

GLORIOUS PROMISES OF THE LORD

Isaiah 55 is one of the most uplifting texts that we may read in the Book of Isaiah. The following are some of the most encouraging verses we may read.

  1. The promise of abundant spiritual food

Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,

And let your soul delight itself in abundance    Isaiah 55:2

  1. The promise of the soul coming alive

Incline your ear, and come to Me,

Hear, and your soul shall live.     Isaiah 55:3a 

  1. The promise of an everlasting covenant

And I will make an everlasting covenant with you-

The sure mercies of David     Isaiah 55:3b

  1. The promise of glory

Because of the LORD your God,

And the Holy One of Israel;

For He has glorified you.    Isaiah 55:5 

  1. The promise of mercy when we return to the Lord

Let the wicked forsake his way,

And the unrighteous man his thoughts;

Let him return to the LORD,

And He will have mercy on him;

And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.    Isaiah 55:7

  1. The promise of the Word of God being fulfilled

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,

And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.    Isaiah 55:11

  1. The promise of joy

For you shall go out with joy,

And be led out with peace;

The mountain and the hills

Shall break forth into singing with you.          

And all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.    Isaiah 55:12 

THE BLESSINGS OF BEING TRULY REVIVED

These are the blessings that we may look forward to receiving from the Lord God. Let us apply what we read in the following text:

Seek the LORD while He may be found,

Call upon Him while He is near.    Isaiah 55:6

May we find the Lord’s blessings to be rich and wonderful as we seek Revival!
