BLESSED IS SHE WHO BELIEVED

THE MINISTRY OF THE ANGELS OF GOD
The ministry of angels was mentioned in the Holy Scriptures. However, their appearances are fairly limited.
VITAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE ANGELS
From the Gospel text where the angel Gabriel’s visit to Zacharias was noted, the following observations may be made: –
- He is called “An angel of the Lord” Luke 1:11
a) He is a messenger sent by God
b) He represents the Lord
- He can bring a word from the Lord
a) He brought an important message
b) His word is to be believed!
- He has great authority
a) He could chasten Zacharias
b) He could strike him dumb
FAITH OR UNBELIEF
One could either choose to believe or choose not to believe.
- Zacharias
a) He could not bring himself to believe
b) He had to be chastened for his unbelief
- Mary
a) Beyond the initial hesitation
b) She believed with all her heart
c) She actually had the greater challenge of exercising faith
THE COMMENDATION BY ELIZABETH
When Mary to visit her cousin Elizabeth, she was greeted with these words.
Blessed is she who believed,
For there will be a fulfilment of those things
Which were told her from the Lord. Luke 1:45
- Mary was blessed indeed!
- The reason for this special blessing
“She believed!”
- Fulfilment
The word of the Lord was given
And every word of God will be fulfilled!
Let us be challenged to find out faith in the Lord renewed this Christmas! Blessed is everyone who believes!
