THE MACEDONIAN CALL

A VERY SMALL TEAM

Pau, Silas and Timothy formed the small team of missionaries to pioneer new areas that had not been opened to the Gospel. Just three men, but these were people who lived with a tremendous sense of calling from the Lord.

THE DIFFERENT CALLS FROM THE LORD

The Calls of God are fascinating to study. The following observations may be made:

  1. The Call to Salvation     Acts 9

a) This was answered humbly

b) It was received gratefully

  1. The Call to Service

a) This was extended by Barnabas     Acts 11:25-26

b) But it came from the Lord

  1. The Call to go to the Mission field

a) Barnabas and Paul went as the first Missionary team

b) John Mark went along     Acts 13

  1. The Call to go to Macedonia

a) This was given to Paul on the second missionary journey

b) Paul discerned the Lord’s leading

c) He determined to answer this call

OUR LISTENING TO THE CALL TO GOD TO DO MISSIONS WORK

Thank God we have the example of Paul to study and to emulate:

  1. The Call to minister in India

This was discerned and we embarked on establishing a ministry in South India in 1989

  1. The Call to minister in Perth

This was also discerned and we began ministry in 1994

  1. The Call to minister in Myanmar

This was also discerned and we started ministry in Myanmar in 1995.

THANK GOD FOR ALL THAT HE HAS PROVIDED

There is so much to thank God as we look back at 30 years of Missions Ministry. 

  1. His provision
  1. His protection 
  1. His presence

Let us rejoice in the way the Lord has blessed all these years of serving the Lord. Let us thank God for the many lessons that we have learned as we ministered for Him. Our faith and life have been that much more enriched through Missions ministry.
